Any experience on volume mount issue?

Hi,

Is anyone facing a volume mount random data loss issue?

We have been using this feature for almost 2 months, and unfortunately, our experience has not been good so far. We are seeing random data corruption on some email accounts.

Clients are reporting that emails are disappearing from Outlook and Webmail when volume mount is active, even though the files remain intact in the mapped drive.

I’m not sure if we are the only ones experiencing this issue, so I would like to check with the community.

As far as I know, we've not received any tickets on issues where using volume mounts leads to corruption or disappearing messages, and I don't recall any Community threads about it.

Hi Derek

Maybe their client did not feedback yet or not much admin decide to this feature. So far i am disabling volume mount for client who report issues with us.

Also can you please verify that search index are kept whenever the mount is disconnected because this happens when we upgrade SM and have to keep rebuilding folder. For those user that unable to rebuild successfully,  we will disable volume mount for this.
